From the Railway Station Saint Lucia in Venice, take the Motoscafo line 51, and get off at the Lido station, after about 35 minutes. In Saint Lucia Station PAY ATTENTIONS to people who'll try to stop you proposing tours in Murano island, Burano island or other accommodations in hotels near the railway station. Try to convince you saying that 'hotel where you are booked is distant, perhaps 40 km away, they make you confusing between the district of Lido in Venice and the Lido di Jesolo. Please note that the Lido is located about 10 minutes by boat from St Mark's Square, while from the railway station to St Mark's Square it takes about 25 minutes. Clearly on all the things they propose you they get commissions. They usually present themselves as representatives of the Municipality of Venice. Say that you have already prepaid the account of the hotel and that you are not interested in the tour to Murano and Burano. In the hotel will give you all the informations about tours organised by the Travel Agencies. The hotel is situated on the same Piazzale where is the arrivals and departures of Motoscafi and Vaporetti, to the left of the Boat Station.

From the Airport take the Shuttle service ALILAGUNA motorboat. The cost of the ticket is 15.00 euros per person. After about 55 minutes navigation get off at the Lido station (1 station before Piazza San Marco). The stop is situated on the same Square, more or less opposite the Hotel Giardinetto. The Motorboat Alilaguna leaves about every 40/50 minutes and most often coinciding with the arrival of flights, considering the time required for picking up your baggage. Tickets can be purchased in the stand Alilaguna located in the arrivals section immediately after the check-point. PAY ATTENTION if somebody propose you to take a Taxi Boat, the cost is roughly 100.00/120.00 euros, do it only if you are in a hurry, since the water taxi takes about 20 minutes less than Alilaguna. Do not take even the normal car taxi or bus to Venice as employing a very long time to arrive and the costs would be, in any case, higher than Alilaguna, whereas there lead up to Piazzale Roma where you should take the boat to reach the centre of Venice. Keep in mind that Venice is a city on water formed by numerous islands and the best way to move is by water.

The Treviso Airport from Venice is about 25 km. The main Compagnie low-cost Ryanair, Wizzair, Easyjet, landing in this airport. To reach Venice should take the Shuttle Bus ATVO. The time taken depends on the traffic conditions around 1 or 2 hours, if there is no traffic even less. When you arrive at Piazzale Roma take the Motoscafo 51 and get off after about 35 minutes Lido boat station. Arriving in the evening or late at night, take the boat line NT (the night service of Vaporetto Line 1 ), get off in Lido after about 55 minutes. The Giardinetto hotel is located on the same square of the boat station, to the left.

Leaving from highway follow the indications to Venice. To reach Venice you must cross a long bridge, about 3 km, the Freedom Bridge, the speed limit is 90 km and there are fixed speed checking machines, so be careful about the speed. Towards the end of the bridge keep to the right. At the traffic light, turn right and follow signs for the Ferry-Boat to the Lido, then turn right again crossing a bridge and then cross a wide parking area (the Tronchetto). The ferry boat station, is located at the end of the carpark. PAY ATTENTION if someone tries to stop you offering to park the car and do some tours, say that you have to take the ferry and that you are not interested. The Ferry goes directly to Lido, passing in front of Saint Mark Square, it's a very nice cruise in Venice. At the Lido, leaving Ferry, head on the right. After about 1.50 km you will arrive on the main Square where the hotel Giardinetto is located. In Hotel at check-in we'll give you the indication where to park your car. The Ferry-Boat from Tronchetto to Lido depart about every 40 minutes until 23.00 and then return to 05.00 am in winter. In summer, the service continues throughout the night every hour.
